For large and giant breeds, we recommend placing two pads side by side to give your dog a full landing zone. The pad works the same way regardless of the dog's age. The only difference is placement: for senior dogs, position pads near the most frequented resting spots rather than a dedicated training zone.

For an 8 to 12 week old puppy, expect 8 to 10 elimination events per day. Most puppies will use 2 to 4 pads daily during active training  one or two in the morning, fresh pads in the afternoon and evening. As your puppy's bladder control improves, typically by 16 weeks, you will drop to 1 to 2 pads per day. At that rate, a 50-count pack lasts 3 to 5 weeks through the most intensive phase of training. If you have multiple dogs or are managing a senior dog alongside a puppy, double those numbers accordingly.
